Yes, Chandigarh University allows students to update their application after JEE Main Phase 2 results, ensuring that the best rank or percentile is considered for admission, merit-based scholarships, and counseling. This flexible system benefits candidates who improve their performance in the second phase. Students can submit updated scores online through the official application portal, after which the university verifies ranks and allocates seats accordingly. Students can apply after JEE Main Phase 1 and later update their application if they appear for Phase 2. CU follows a student-friendly approach, allowing candidates to benefit from improved performance across phases. Admission eligibility itself does not depend on JEE phase scores, as CUCET remains a valid route. A General BA course will give you a basic idea of the subject and a base knowledge. But a BA Hons course will provide you with in-depth knowledge in a specific area. The difference between a BA and a BA Hons is their depth, difficulty, and focus.

You should avoid mentioning any low marks or shortcomings about yourself in any of the application documents, including the Statement of purpose  (SOP). There are very few universities that ask you about your gap year. For them, you can mention the reason for the gap between your studies. Generally, no university asks about low grades during your study period as your selection depends on various criteria like exam scores, student profile, financials, and so on. However, if there is some issue that is clearly visible in your marksheets or your resume, make sure to provide a logical reason behind that event.

Statement of purpose should be 1-2 pages long and everything must be put together in about 800-1000 words; however, the length may vary as per university requirements. Some Universities put a cap on the word limit, which might be as less as 200 words. Most universities accept 800-1000 words SOP however, in most cases, it does not go beyond 1200 words. It is relatively easy to write a story of your life explaining the importance of each incident that has helped shape your personality. However, it becomes challenging to write an SOP within a specified word limit, and that too when your admission is

TUM is very similar to MIT USA in certain aspects. It has a world-class research environment, as does MIT. It gives just as much importance to STEM courses and Innovation as MIT. It does not have the same level of reputation as MIT does, but, it is far more affordable than the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It also has a marginally better acceptance rate (8%), than MIT US (4.5%).
