Rural internship for an MBBS degree
Poor are the ones who suffer from malnutrition and require maximum health attention, in India, government services are insufficient in providing the required health services, so should rural internship be made compulsory for an MBBS degree?

What is rural internship in MBBS. Rural service is a bond one has to sign at the time of admission to serve the rural parts if Karnataka for 1 year. It is a paid service and the MBBS. Doctor is considered as a junior resident at the phc or district hospital.
-
Yes. It is different from internship. It is called COMPULSORY ROTATORY RESIDENTIAL INTERNSHIP. Mandatory for all MBBS students.
-
Rural internship should be focused in developing the medical facilities in the rural areas apart from treating people.

It is called COMPULSORY ROTATORY RESIDENTIAL INTERNSHIP. Mandatory for all MBBS students. Has to be done in an hospital for 1 year, only after this u can get the graduation Certificate from your university. But rural service is when u r posted in some rural PHCs across the state after u have completed your internship. It is not mandatory in tamilnadu and in many other states. There is service bond for post graduates but I am pretty sure it is not there for ugs.

The Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) programme is a 12-month programme in hospitals attached to the medical college of the students. The NEET MBBS internship is essential for the completion of the MBBS course. For BDS students, the CRRI is provided by the Dental Council of India.

Yes, I agree with you but is not only compulsory for an MBBS degree also for B.A. MS Because ayurvedic in India also play a very measure role and the ayurvedic medicines, ayurvedic herbs, ayurvedic kadha also effective
for health. -
Only the deserving and of good quality shall practice. It must be ensured that monkeys do not handle garlands.

It's up to each individual to do the internship in rural areas or other places. But Indian villages are far behind in the overall development of the country. People are poor, education is less and medical facility is minimum. So definitely India needs more health professionals who is willing to work in rural areas. It depends on each individuals choice and commitment.

In India, there are many poor families who are suffering from many diseases. Govt. hospitals are there but there is negligible facility for the treatment of rural patients. Some cannot afford costly medicines and other expensive treatments to cure. Hence, rural internship program should be scheduled for an MBBS degree.

Hi everyone,
you all are correct from you point of view. it is a good way to see it.
but i want to ask from all of you including Prateek ji, can you give assurance after make it compulsory every intern will do work from their heart & according to their profession?
will they work with their best ability which they can? -
Hi Everyone,
I am in favor of rural internship because if we want India to grow as a country, people living in rural area should be healthy because still maximum population of India resides in villages. -
Hi,
I believe, rural internship should be made compulsory because once the doctor gets a job, he is least interested in visiting rural areas , only very few doctors take initiative and go to villages.
If the rural internship is made compulsory, it will definitely benefit people living in the rural areas -
It should be start but should not apply it as compulsory, it will help poor people in respect of health issue, it will not only increase their living standard it will also increase GDP of the nation, man power in nation and also job opportunity. but making it compulsory may create some issues, crimes and so on. every trainee should take this initiative on their self.
