Shall I pursue mechanical engineering from NIT, Sikkim or CSE from LPU?

Hi, In my opinion, you should opt for B.Tech CSE in LPU without thinking twice. One of my friends did B.Tech (CSE) from LPU and she is working in an MNC now. I had a conversation with her regarding her 4-year journey in LPU and I am going to share her experience with you. The staff is well qualified and most of them are Ph. This. The curriculum is built keeping in mind the current technology trends. LPU offers different specializations namely IOT, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, and many more. The placements at LPU are excellent. Moreover, they give you the option to choose your pathway elective as well that whether you want a corporate Job or Research or Government Job. The preparation for placements starts from the very first year. Many top recruiters visit the LPU campus to employ graduates, such as Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Capgemini, Bosch, TCS, and several other firms. Recently, a girl got placed at a package of 42 LPA. Moreover, Amazon recruited LPU students with 28 LPA. Rs. 24 LPA for B.Tech/M.Tech CSE by Optmyzr. I personally believe that every branch has a scope if you have a strong orientation and you don't leave any stone unturned to learn it. Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and the broadest types of engineering which is concerned with the design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. You will study statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, stress analysis, mechanical design and technical drawing whereas Computer Science Engineering (CSE) encompasses a variety of topics that relates to computation, like analysis of algorithms, programming languages, programme design, software, and computer hardware. Computer Science engineering has roots in electrical engineering, mathematics, and linguistics. Now, you have to identify the area of your interest and choose the field accordingly. So, if you wish to be a software engineer, then LPU is the right option and CSE is the right cup of tea for you. #Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is a major branch of engineering at LPU which has been designed primarily to suit the needs of the students who aspire to be the future engineers, managers or entrepreneurs with a strong grounding in accounting and finance. Hi,The choice lies with you only. Both are equally good, rather nowadays private universities are putting more effort than some of the NIT's or even young IIT's. For NIT one has to crank JEE Mains whereas for LPU one can crack LPU NEST. I am not saying that LPU NEST is easier than JEE Mains or difficult. Here I just want to tell you about the value addition, Where it might be possible that LPU is putting more efforts to make Industry ready product. First of all the difference is in the specializations. LPU offers large number of industry specific specializations, highly coveted Computer Science Engineering along with the function specific ones, while you can easily count the total number of classes in NIT's. Course curriculum : While NIT's are carrying legacy only in regards Curriculum, LPU has developed and upgraded its curriculum continuously with feedback and consultations with Industry tycoons. Three striking features of LPU are Technology training's like SAP, Github, advance excel etc. , which give a clear edge to students in employability. Diversity: LPU attracts talent from all over India as well as about 70 countries across the globe. This gives a unique global perspective, social sensibilities and networking skills. Himanshu, both are good but then choice of branch depends upon your interest. CSE is the demand of the hour. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of our students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too. The university leaves no stone unturned to shape the future of its students. It is definitely the first choice of both national and international students.

A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. Lovely Professional University provides several programs that include B.Tech, B.Tech (Hons. ), a dual degree programme for B.Tech and M.Tech and B.Tech and MBA and integrated programs like B.Tech and MBA and B.Tech and M.Tech. Here at LPU, you can get enrolled in any stream as per your interest and choice. Every year many students join the various engineering courses that are offered by LPU. Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technologys Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals. The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc. Faculties are highly qualified, most of the faculties have done their Ph.D and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge.They are cooperative and whenever you need their help they are ready to help you out. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc.) All a student has to do is to maintain a good academic record and personality to ensure his/her placement. Dear Himanshu, I have no idea about mechanical engineering from NIT, Sikkim. But for the CSE at LPU, being alumni of LPU, I will give you an idea about LPU for the CSE programme. There are some points I would like to share about why CSE is good for LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-ups with industries which helps students to explore themselves more in their field. Specializations: CSE students get many specializations while studying CSE to enhance their knowledge according to their interests such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data Science, etc. Apart from this, many opportunities and scholarships are there in LPU while studying for bright students in academics and extracurricular activities.
