Should I fill the 'freeze your branch' form after getting the desired number 1 choice in the first round?

If you already have got the first choice in your choice filling list, then you can't be upgraded any more, so you don't need to freeze your branch. Still if you want to be sure of getting that branch, you may try and freeze it.

Your branch will automatically get frozen but if you want to be safe and if you don't want to take risk then you can fill it too.

No need of doing that, your branch will not be lowered; you will get your college branch.
