There will be pros and cons-
In terms of education and support provided by faculty (mainly in research) it provides good infra and more over it's better than few NITs not all. It depends on the person who studies there and there dedication levels simply we can't say it is behind the NITs. I agree that rules in Sastra are like making it behind top NIT's but SASTRA makes u ready for your future. SASTRA reserves about 50 percentage of seats to locals I.e.
