Should I opt for CSE in LPU or pursue ECE from Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal?

Though both the institutes are good in terms of academics but being an alumni of LPU let me explain the things in details. Though a choice between CSE and ECE depends upon the passion but Lpu is one of the best institute for computer Science branch. Placement of CSE is very good with respect to other branches. The department aims to hone the technical expertise of its students by organizing timely workshops and guest lectures. This helps in capacity building, better career prospects and good placements. The school also adopt and adapt the latest in technological innovations with some of the course assessments being carried out on competitive programming platforms such as HackerRank, HackerEarth and Codechef. All this ensures a breeding ground for high skilled technological enthusiasts. The Department takes immense pride in offering innovative Live Projects that will help in providing technical exposure to the students while developing state of the art applications. The Department continues to strive for excellence by embarking on ambitious endeavors BYOD, Industry Tie-ups with industries like Google, SAP, Oracle, Vmware, DELL EMC, Rule Book Based Best IT Practices, Deep-Dive Virtual Academy Programme, Immersive Mentor-ship Model, Best Projects Show-case Carnival. Hi, Engineering is one of the best programmes that LPU offers, and it is worth joining LPU for B.Tech (ECE). I will highlight some of the features : 1) The faculty, the infrastructure, and other facilities are excellent. 2) The placements are 100%, and the preparation begins from the very first year. 3) More than twelve Centers of Excellence established by reputable companies like Automation Anyware, Texas Instruments, CISCO, SAP, Cadence, etc. 4) There is an innovation studio in LPU where students can work on their ideas. Moreover, in 2019, when the Indian Science Congress was held in LPU, LPU Students also design Solar-powered Driverless Bus to ferry PM Modi to Indian Science Congress 2019 in this studio. Prabin Kumar Das, a B.Tech student (Electronics Communication and Engineering) at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, and his professors, has developed a KAWACH to promote safe social distancing. 5) Last but not least, LPU has its space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on a satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. Hi Himanshu, It all depends upon your interest. No stream is good or bad. Your interest does so. Let me brief: LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, IBSs, etc. LPU provides the latest curriculum which is accepted at industry level, industrial exposures and the best placement depending upon the caliber of the student. CSE & ECE both are the branches of an engineering courses but CSE is a branch of engineering related to Computer Science Engineering while ECE is a branch of engineering related to Electronics and Communication Engineering. ECE is about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM etc. ). Communicate with each other whereas CSE deals with telling these components what to do and when to do it; by programming them. B.Tech -CSE from LPU provides wonderful experience and handsome salary packages. LPU provides specialisation also in Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data etc. In ECE the programme comes with engineering minors: CLOUD COMPUTING EMBEDDED SYSTEM DESIGN ENERGY SYSTEMS INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) MACHINE LEARNING FOR SIGNAL AND IMAGE PROCESSING ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION VLSI DESIGN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION With a great curriculum which is benchmarked with foriegn universities. Every year nearly 600 companies visit for campus-recruitment of students. The companies which have visited as of now are: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Hitachi Power, Videocon, L&T Technology Services, Ericsson, HCL Technologies etc. So, I personally feel that CSE provides a wider scope but if you are oriented towards electronics etc. , then ECE is best. Any stream, if well decided as per the interest leads to marvellous placements. Let me explain the difference between two streams as if will help you to decide. ECE is about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM etc. ). Communicate with each other. It has more Physics in it. There is a little programming involved but not much. CSE on the other hand deals with telling these components what to do and when to do it; by programming them. But yes for sure now-a-days many people are going for CSE and that too from one of the institute of repute. Yes you are right, I am talking about LPU which has been recently ranked top 80 amongst all private and government universities by NIRF, MHRD, GOI which is a matter of pride. LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, IBSs, etc. LPU provides the latest curriculum which is accepted at industry level, industrial exposures and the best placement depending upon the caliber of the student. Every year nearly 600 companies visit for campus-recruitment of students. The companies which have visited as of now are: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Hitachi Power, Videocon, L&T Technology Services, Ericsson, HCL Technologies etc. So, I personally feel that CSE provides a wider scope but if you are oriented towards electronics etc. , then ECE is best. I will advise you to book the seat at the earliest or maximum by 30-6-2020 hope this helps.
