Hello Akash! You can start preparing for CAT in your third year itself, but there is no need to join any coaching class as of now. For the time being, you can focus on improving your vocabulary(by reading good books, novels, editorial columns of leading newspapers, etc) and mental calculations. You may also solve the logical reasoning based puzzles in your free time. Just ensure that your CAT preparation doesn't affect your engineering studies, as these engineering marks/CGPA will matter a lot during the admission procedures of the various B-schools. All the best!
