    IIT, Roorkee metallurgical and materials engineering has been in existence since long and with alumni in Los Alamos National Lab, Bell Lab, Microsoft Research and many more. Moreover, the culture of inter-disciplinary research along with the presence of Centre of Excellence - Nanotechnology, which is headed by a professor of metallurgical and materials engineering, you get the added advantage to work in the best of the labs. It has the best of metallurgy, important for GATE and PSUs, and materials science, the forward science of research today.     Hello friend, IIT BHU is better what I prefer but that's your choice, both are good. If you are talking about placements then I will surely say BHU because many companies come to BHU which is not so with Roorkee.
