There is a talk that MBA students (freshers) does not have placements . Is that real ?

    Madhu these days you can find a MBA college at every street in a city. These are comming up like mushrooms. Not all of them are approved by UGC or DEC. That is the reason that you may be finding many candidates commenting that they have not found a job after completing MBA. But then ask the ones who have completed this post graduation course through an approved and reputed institute. Probably you may not find anybody job-less unless he/she has chosen it to be that way for some specific reason. The point is that if your MBA institite is reputed, you will be absobed soon in a job.

    Hello Madhu, freshers do not have placement is absolutely wrong. The companies looks for the good student not the freshers. There are many more companies which hire freshers and they are doing much more better than the experience person. If you really want to be independent then you should pursue MBA and get in the corporate world with a good job in one of the good companies.     Certainly a large number of MBAs do not find jobs as per their aspirations or expectations. The lack of employability is due to low industry-academia interface and also because the faculty is not doing enough to seek consultancy assignments or conduct management development programmes.
    B-Schools should pay special attention to the required interface with the industry & also make sure that students develop a strong knowledge base.
