What about doing B.Arch from Lovely Professional University? Is it a good choice?

Hello Munees, I have done my Graduation from LPU and there were a lot of projects which I have done with B.Arch students even we have managed lots of events together and as per their feedback and experience, LPU is one of the best places for B.Arch. Lpu is better in all the aspects like teaching, curriculum, infrastructure, experience, placements etc. The architecture programme of lpu is approved by the agency of COA. Lpu provides the best academic exposure to it's students. The world-class infrastructure is congenial for the study of architecture. Many workshops and seminars are conducted by industry experts as LPU believes in experiential learning. Students are exposed to real site situations through in-house and external visits for visual orientation. Emphasis is given on the Entrepreneurship projects/Consultancy projects which give a cutting edge to the students of the University. So, I can definitely say that lpu provides a better learning experience and opportunities. Talking about the placements companies like Al Rakha Group, Green Vision Architects, AKTC-Aga Khan Trust for Culture (Afghanistan), Capital region Development Authority (Kabul), Total Environment Builders, Wagma Designs etc. Visit here for recruitment purposes. Dear Munees, LPU is really a good choice for the B.Arch programme. My cousin also did B.Arch at LPU and got placed in an MNC. The Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) for B.Arch is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English and also 60% marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics or Pass with 60% in Diploma (any stream) (3 years) recognised by Central/ State government. (with Mathematics) or equivalent, subject to qualifying marks in NATA 2021 or JEE Main (Paper-II) (90 percentile or above) or qualifying marks in any specially designed aptitude test in Architecture conducted by the competent authority of the Central/ State Governments (as/ if allowed by the statutory body for 2021-22). INNOVATIVE TEACHING Architecture Students During Experiential Learning Week-Architecture Students documented the buildings and learning from Live Case Examples during experiential learning week. B.Arch at LPU is a good choice based on my own personal experience. LPU is amongst the Top 5 School of Architecture, Design and Planning disciplines in India and the top 100 schools globally by 2025 by becoming a Centre of design excellence in Academics, Consultancy and Research. In the programme, innovative teaching practices are adopted. One such practice is called Experiential learning week which is organized every semester in which students are taken to nearby historic and construction sites and are given live case studies to do. Educational field visits proposed to understand different architectural styles. Mughal Architecture, Sikh Architecture, South Architectural style. Architecture is the one subject that lets you challenge yourself to do better every time. It develops new perspectives and dimensions. Architecture is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings or any other structures. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. For taking admission there are a few entrance exams like NATA that need to be taken. NATA is compulsory for Architecture Studies. B.Arch at LPU is a good choice based on my own personal experience. The faculty is very experienced and highly educated. In the programme, innovative teaching practices are adopted. One such practice is called Experiential learning week which is organized every semester in which students are taken to nearby historic and construction sites and are given live case studies to do. In design studios, the professors encourage students to take challenging and practical design problems. There is a rich culture of internships for final year students who go for very challenging and top placements nationally as well as internationally through department. The department is actively working to arrange internships by making a cluster of architectural and consultant firms with them. Most importantly they are recognised by the Council of Architecture (COA). Their curriculum comprises of Live Projects, Study tour to overseas projects, they follow collaborative learning with Industries. Tie ups with industry Content delivery by industry experts Projects in collaboration with industry Internships to engage deeply in hands on real-life situations.
