University of Cambridge engineering placements included the following sectors: engineering consultancy, research and development, manufacturing, product design, defence and IT. 20% of students were placed in manufacturing sector, 12% were placed in consultancy sector, and 9% were placed in Information Technology sector. 15% of the total engineering students went on to study further.
