What are the career & job prospects in India for Apache Hadoop?

Hadoop is the supermodel of Big Data. To be skilled in Hadoop is a deciding factor in getting a springboard to your career or getting left behind. If you are a fresher there is a huge scope if you are skilled in Hadoop. Amongst the open source framework, there is almost no other alternative which can deal with petabytes of data as Hadoop can. In 2015 was it was predicted that Indian Big Data Hadoop industry will grow five folds in the analytics center. Jobs for Hadoop developers in on the rise as organizations from different verticals such as e-commerce, retail, automobile, and telecom are adopting analytics to gain an advantage over their competitors. Increasing demand and cost-effectiveness is also making many international companies focus on India with plans for expansion. If new is right Twitter is also in the process of setting their R&D center in India. The pool of trained professionals in data analytics with Hadoop expertise is low as compared to the current and expected demand. Hadoop market in India is not a frizz which will dilute with time, on the contrary, it is phenomenal in demand, learning the skill guarantees higher salary and better job prospects for both experienced and freshers alike. Currently every major IT company like, Facebook, Jabong, Snapdeal, Amazon, etc., are using Hadoop to convert zettabytes of data created through these portals hence, if you are trained in Hadoop, you will be the apple of any developer in India.

Hello, Apache Hadoop currently has a dominating role in the data analytics industry. Hence, it has enormous job opportunities at present. However, with the current pace of developments and system up-gradation, it is extremely difficult to predict how long it will continue to dominate the market. The job opportunities in Hadoop are mainly categorized into 1) Hadoop development engineer : Engineers who build applications on top of Hadoop platform 2) Big Data analytics engineer: Engineers who code less but use hive/pig and other tools to get their work done but have a very good understanding on Hadoop platform 3) Hadoop Operations: Like any other development operations, there are categorical Hadoop development operation roles available 4) Core Hadoop Developers: These are the engineers who work to upgrade the Hadoop framework itself, like Hortonworks, Cloudera etc. I hope this answers the question.
