    You can work as a travel counsellor, sales and relationship management. You may also work as a destination manager.

    Travel and Tourism is huge field and having lots of career options. It includes Government tourism departments, Immigration and customs services, travel agencies, airlines, tour operators, hotels etc. And many associated service industries such as airline catering or laundry services, Guides, Interpreters, Tourism promotion and sales etc. Travel and Tourism enterprises include major internationals with a workforce of thousands, to the small private travel agent with a handful of employees.     Tourism management is a really fast growing industry and it offers an exciting future. It is one of the most profitable industries that has created millions of jobs in India.
    The scope of employment is very high.
    Career opportunities exist both in the public and private sector. In the public sector, there are opportunities in the Directorates and Departments of Tourism of the centre and the state as officers, information assistants, tourist guides etc.
    For qualified tourism professionals, another good prospect is in the private sector with travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hotels, transport and cargo companies etc.

    After getting trained for travel and tourism, one can expect to get a decent job soon. There are jobs available in airlines, cruise ships, hotels and motels, resorts, car rentals, tour operators, travel agencies, conference and event organizers, etc.
    According to the estimates published by world tourism organization, in India alone more than 1,80,000 vacancies are expected to be filled within the next decade. A timely entry into this field ensures the chances of getting promoted to the top level quickly.
