3 years agoA multidisciplinary Science, archaeology incorporates knowledge of geology, anthropology, history, etc. Archaeologists go into major periods of human activity to understand its influences on life by studying old monuments, inscriptions, excavation sites, etc. Archivists examine papers to find archival proof. It is a specialised area of the humanities with little employment options for archivists and archaeologists. 5 years agoArchaeology is a multi-disciplinary Science integrating knowledge of geology, anthropology, history etc. Archaeologists study old monuments, inscriptions, excavation sites, etc. , delving into significant phases of human activity to study its influences on life. Archivists study documents for finding historical evidence. It is niche branch of Humanities with very limited opportunities as Archaeologists and Archivists. Most of the jobs in the field are in Government organisation or Educational Institutes.
