    The hospitality sector is a huge industry that includes a wide array of profiles from hotel attendents to chefs to cabin crew to fast food joints to huge resorts. A lot of these setups require a strong number of people in order to run their business successfully. The hospitality sector goes on 24 hours a day and it is a very challenging profession. One needs to be at their toes in order to meet the needs and for the satisfacton of the customers. One may face a lot of irate customers but a person working in the hospitality sector has to face them all without being impolite.

    The Challenges you might face while working in Hospitality Industry are -
    1) Long and Extended Working Hours - The working hours in Hospitality Industry longer than any other industry. You need to sometimes work for 12 hours in busy schedule.
    2) Irregular Shift Timings - Since the hotel operates 24*7 there are various shifts of employees. Which includes morning shift, General Shift, Afternoon shift, Night Shift, Break shift, Panzer Shift. Initially you might find it difficult while changing from one shift to another but with time your body will adapt to change.

    Challenges while working in Hospitality industry-
    1. Unequal treatment -
    There is no equal treatment for all type of employees. Women perform 66 percent of the worlds work, produce 50 percent of the food, but earn 10 percent of the income and own 1 percent of the property. Such circumstances are avail due to the fact that women have lower access to land, capital and education than men women tend to work at home or family enterprises unprotected by law, and women face discrimination and overload of work at business enterprises and family life.

    The challenges in the industry are not specific. It varies from company to company, department to department and type of career chosen. Every brand has its legacy, which cannot be defined in totality. We have MNCs entering into the sector which follows the international standards in HR practices wherein in the duty timings and off are very competitive with other career avenues. The best part of this Industry is no one goes jobless like any other streams which are more sought after in India than hospitality.     The hospitality sector is a vast Industry that is inclusive of multiple profiles. The common sectors being hotels, restaurants, resorts travel setups, etc.
    All these sectors are quite exciting and offer good salary packages but there are some challenges that are very common to the hospitality industry at large.
