Yes, starting 2023 academic year, the University of Delhi will only consider scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test-PG (CUET-PG) for admissions to post-graduate courses. This is the first time that post-graduate admissions to DU will be based on CUET-PG. The change in the admission process to postgraduate courses was proposed by the 10-member committee. Additionally, separate merit lists will also be prepared for the candidates who will clear the CUET PG 2023 exam. The university, in an official notification, also added that, "Before appearing for CUET-PG, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the course-specific eligibility". For this, candidates must check university's PG bulletin for information on selecting CUET test papers as per the requirements of the specific programmes.
But, at first, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:
Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases. Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard.
Step 2: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists which will be out on August 1, August 10 and August 22, 2023, respectively for all categories.
- The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
- If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
- Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
- Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
- If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.
Step 3: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.
