The CDS 2 2025 application and notification was released on May 28, 2025. The application window was open till June 20, 2025. The exam was conducted on September 14, 2025. On the other hand, the CDS 1 2025 application form and the notification was released on December 11, 2024 and the last date to apply was January 1, 2025. The CDS 1 exam was conducted on April 13, 2025.

Following the latest notice by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the conducting body for CDS examination. The examination form for CDS 1 was out on December 20, 2023 and will remain out till January 9, 2024. Followed by the examination on April 21 ,2024. CDS 2 examination will be conducted on September 1, 2024.
