Lovely Professional University always intends to provide scholarship to all eligible students in all possible ways so that fulfilling the fees criteria should not be the hurdle for any of the students to get quality education. ' LPU offers special scholarship scheme of full Programme fee waiver to top 20 Rank holders of every recognised school board (State, Central and Open Board provided minimum 1000 students should have appeared in the said exam). The scholarship scheme is as below: (a) Full Programme Fee waiver (Including Examination Fee), and (b) Free Stay in four seater room (Air Cooled Room) in hostel or Free Transport Facility. There are certain clauses associated which students need to maintain for continuation of this scholarship: The student shall maintain a CGPA of 8.00 (or 80% marks in marks based programmes) in first year (first two semesters), 8.5 CGPA (I. e. 85% marks) in second year and 9.0 CGPA (I. e. 90% marks) in third year. In case the CGPA falls below the prescribed limit, the special scholarship will be withdrawn and normal scholarship will be applicable in successive years as per the qualifying marks in eligibility qualification or any other criteria as normally applicable. I don't know about other universities but LPU gives special treatment to the board toppers. If a board topper seeks admission at LPU he will be given 100 percent scholarship on programme fee and 100 waive off on residential facilities of Non AC category. Same special treatment is given to the national test rank holders too.

When the number of students is more than 20 on the merit list then the scholarship will be awarded to students scoring at least 97% marks and to a maximum of 200 students from the list. When the number of students is more than 20 on the merit list and no student has scored more than 97% marks, the equivalent cut-off percentage will be computed taking 100% as base as per the following criteria Category-C: Open Board, students must have scored at least 90% marks and the above conditions will be applicable as per the merit list Merit list types, as received from the board or available at their website will be considered for providing the benefits under the board topper scholarship scheme. One has to go through different entrance test for taking admission in different colleges and Universities. LPU NEST is a National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programme's test is applicable only for a scholarship.
