What are the hostel facilities in LPU?

LPU has the largest residential capacity in the world. Hostels here are very good and clean and have all the amenities. Also, when choosing a hostel, you will have a lot of options to opt from. There are AC rooms as well rooms with Cooler. You also get an option to choose the number of people you want to share the room with, whether you want to have 1 seater, 2 seater, 3 seater rooms, or apartments, etc. You will have water purifiers on each floor which are very frequently maintained. Also, good care is taken to ensure that cleanliness is always maintained. Rooms are cleaned about 2 to 3 times per week. Also, if you have any problem in your room, you can lodge a complaint and the management of the hostel will make sure to get the issue resolved at the earliest. About the Wi-Fi services, it is available almost everywhere on the campus. And about security, LPU claims to have more CCTV cameras than the IGI Airport. LPU has one of the safest campuses in the world. Thanks to the security here that things like ragging, etc. Are just out of the question.

Hello As per my knowledge after visiting the LPU website and discussing with alumni of LPU. There are eight hostels & 3 apartments for boys and 6 separate hostels for girls. The mess of each hostel is equipped with modern facilities. Each hostel has a Residential Warden under the direction of Chief Warden ensures implementation of discipline and creation of an atmosphere that is cond There are numerous things that are provided in the Hostel of LPU tries its best to provide you with all the required amenities. The facilities which you can expect to enjoy as a hosteler are stated below: I. A separate residential facility for boys and girls within the campus ii. Rooms with attached washroom, B.Ed (without mattress), table, chair, and almirahs except in certain dormitory rooms. Iii. Air cooler / Air Conditioner facility in each room (as opted) iv. Arrangement for power supply through dedicated 24 hours hotlines v. Geyser in each room to provide hot water in winters (scheduled timings) for two hours per room every day or as decided by the University. Vi. In campus Hospital with an ambulance to provide medical assistance to students vii. Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system for scheduled timing for academic purposes only and subject to conditions. Viii. Power backup for light load only (not for AC/Geyser/Air cooler). Ix. Mess facility with vegetarian mess only. X. Parking two-wheeler/car facility at designated places only. Xi. Gymnasium (optional on payment basis) XII. Students in a residential facility are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Steamer, Laptop, Mobile Charger, Shaving Set, Trimmer, Hair Straightener, and Hair Dryer. Extra electricity bill due to the usage of these electrical items will be borne by the respective students. Hope this helps Thank you.

Hostels in LPU are more than secure with few restrictions on students which could help them become disciplined. Like day scholars are not allowed in hostels. And even hostels are not allowed to go in other hostels this is weird but for security purposes it is good. And for clarity, I have made this restriction in point have a look at below points. 1) 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict action used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of to such rules. 2) Students are not allowed to enter any other Hostel without permission of the authority. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. 3) Boys are allowed to go outside the campus as per requirement but they need to return back & report to Hostel by 8 PM. 4) Special Permission will be extended to Boys student for a night out with the written permission of the Warden & Parents. 5) Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. Though there are many restrictions you can observe from the above-mentioned points for the hostellers but believe me at the end of the day you will find it necessary for all your security & safety. These restrictions would definitely make you learn how to lead your life in a controlled environment. Campus Security Surveillance : LPU campus is equipped with 6500+ CCTV surveillance a 24X7. There is lift in every hostel, canteen in downstairs of every hostel, playground, gym, laundry facilities.
