Lovely Professional University is really good University. Right from the teachers to placements, everything amazing and taken care of. I really feel as alumni of LPU, that it is one of the best institution and really works hard to better its students in every way possible. As we all know that the major concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children and LPU is well known for its security. As we all know that the major concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children and LPU is well known for its security. Turnstiles gates are there at the entry of hostels so that no other person should enter the hostel. There are students of all races, communities, cultures, tradition, countries etc. Studying here in the university from all over India and the world. With quality education, LPU provides good holistic development of the students to tackle the corporate world and achieve ones dream. Being a alumni Hostellers, I woulds say, Hostellers are allowed to go out of the university but some rules and regulations are made for this. Girls are not allowed to go outside without permission I. e without leave ID. In the summer season, they have to enter the hostel before 7 PM and for winter, its before 6 PM. Whenever girls go for day leave and night leave they have to apply for online through UMS and they will be issued a hard copy of it, which they are supposed to show at the main GATE to security guards. Also, the parents will be informed about this by Hostel Wardens through call or text message in their registered phone numbers. For boys, there is some flexibility in rules as compared to the rules for girls. Boys are allowed to go outside and need no permission but they have to come back before 8 PM. The rules and regulations are very tough in the campus. If someone found doing any kind misbehave inside the campus, strict action is taken by the management against the person. This University have stringent security measures and is Guarded by highly dedicated Security male and Female Guards deputed all around the premises. This University have Centralized Security Control Room with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university.

When I was studying in LPU, the hostel rules were very strict. If you are staying in hostel in LPU then you are bound to follow some rules but these rules are for the benefits of students only. The hostels of LPU are very well managed and are one of the safest residential place for a student to live in. With 4000+ CCTV cameras and more than 400 security persons, LPU has zero tolerance towards ragging or any other unlawful activities. In my opinion one should stay in hostel of LPU because those hostels are maintained quiet well. Some of the rules are:

Hi, Being an alumnus of LPU is can answer this question. Yes, hostels are so secure and there are so many restrictions on students. Like day scholars are not allowed in hostels. And even hostels are not allowed to go in other hostels this is weird but for security purposes it is good. And for clarity, I have made this restriction in point have a look at below points.
1) 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict action used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of to such rules.

Safe & Secured Residential Facility (Accommodation) with excellent infrastructure benefit is one of the criteria behind selection of Good University. In one word I can say Lovely Professional University campus is the most "Safe & Secured" for both Boys & Girls. The university has zero tolerance for ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs, and any disciplinary misconduct. There are CCTV cameras placed in almost all major spots to ensure the healthy and disciplined behaviour of the students. LPU has automated turnstile gates with biometric machines that regulate entry & exit to the residential facility. There isn't any particular timing for the hostel but students are expected to be back on the university campus by 6 pm.
