  • The minimum qualifying marks for the UGC NET 2024 exam are 40% for General and EWS categories and for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Transgender categories, the minimum qualifying marks are 35%. These marks are based on the total marks obtained in the UGC NET.

The minimum qualifying mark for the general category is 40% and for the reserved category is 35% for both papers. Usually, the UGC NET cutoff for the JRF is higher as compared to the assistant professor. Also, the difference between the cutoffs depends upon the difficulty level of the exam.
