What are the problems a non-engineering student would face while preparing for the CAT exam as compared to an Engineering student?

Common Admission Test (CAT) is taken up by hundreds of thousands of aspirants every year. It has become a common assumption that engineers have an advantage over non-engineers appearing for this test as they have a better understanding of mathematical concepts. The applicants from the non-engineering backgrounds need not be discouraged. There is a way potential out of every problem. If the CAT was designed only for engineers, why would there be any test conducted for non-engineers? Some problems faced by non-engineering students are: The common problem lies in quantitative aptitude. Engineers have an advantage in maths and this field. Non-engineering background students are not well equipped with critical thinking problems so it is a problem. Then comes, data interpretation. To crack CAT, you need to be smart, not intelligent. So, just practice and see. You will crack it.
