Hello! The career development of photography is always on the upward slope. However, the demand for photographers might fluctuate due to the availability of skilled photography. (#) Feature Photography. (#) Fashion Photography. (#) Scientific Photography. (#) Freelance Photography. These are some of the big designations that are specialised for the candidates who have done their graduation in this fields. Preferably the degree should be BA in fine arts and photography as additional subjects. There is no such challenge at all. But sometimes, people find very difficult to deliver what is expected of them. Photographers have no fixed career and salary structure. One has to be very open-minded and need to start as a freelancer. One can start as an assistant to senior photographers in which one may earn from Rs 3500-6000/month. After having an established business, salary range can be from Rs 10,000-30,000/month. Commerical photographers get paid higher compared to the other fields. Beginnings can be made at Rs. 15,000 which may grow over a period of time. Challenges one may face as a photographer are - Not much prestige and acceptance in society towards this profession, everyday competition is increasing in this field, one must be multi-tasking to sustain in this profession.
