The campus of LPU houses 5 playgrounds (157062 Sqm) adjacent to boys hostels and girls hostels provide immediate access to cricket grounds, football grounds, hockey grounds, basketball courts, boxing rings, volleyball courts, skating zone, etc. Snooker lounge, in-house bowling complex, With 4 lanes and tens of arcade games, roller skating rink. Etc. Many sporting events of the given sports are conducted here: Cricket, Football, Badminton, Handball, Javelin throw, Shot put, Athletics, High jump, Shooting, Archery, Wrestling, Boxing, Hockey, Rugby, Tennis, Table Tennis, Basketball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Baseball, Fencing, Squash, Swimming, Weightlifting and so on. Shanti Devi Mittal Indoor Stadium here has multifarious facilities under one roof which include 6 Squash Courts, 1 Basketball Court, 3 Volleyball Courts, 12 Badminton Courts, 1 Shooting Range (25 Lane), 3 Swimming Pools, 1 Fully equipped Gym, Weightlifting Room, Chess Room, Yoga Room, and Aerobics room, Taekwondo arena, etc. Sports student with a national gold medal given a 100% scholarship. Apart from this, they are given tokens for refreshment which can be used for the exchange of bananas milk, and other supplements. LPU breaks the unbelievable record! 11 LPU students are participating in the grand Tokyo Olympics 2020! LPU feels proud to send one of the largest contingents of Olympic athletes among all Indian universities to the world's most dynamic international sports event. From Captain Indian Hockey Team Manpreet Singh to Javelin Throw athlete Neeraj Chopra and Wrestler Bajrang Punia, we are incredibly proud of all our 11 athletes and wish that they bring immense pride to India as well as LPU by bringing Olympic medals back home! Being an alumni I would like to share some details. When it comes to sports facilities, Lovely Professional University has one of the largest and advanced Indoor Sports complexes. Starting from 20 Badminton Courts, Squash Courts, Shooting Range, Olympic Size Pool, Separate Diving Pool, Wrestling and Boxing Arena, state-of-the-art Gymnasium and many more unmatchable sports facilities. In addition, LPU also hosts various AIU Championships, AIIU Competitions and other National and International Competitions. LPU never lacks in sports opportunities or competitions, they even conduct many National and International Sports championships in which you'll witness the worlds the finest sportsperson is competing against each other. LPU students have exhibited their prowess at international level and regularly hosts inter as well as intra-university sporting tournaments.

Lovely Professional University always believes in all-round development of students so that students would be get emerged with Academically, Mentally & Physically. Lovely Professional University is the HUB of any sports person. LPU do possess Sports clubs in 24 different sports. There are huge well maintained open grounds for outdoor games. Lovely Professional University do have Olympic Standard swimming pool within the campus inside the SHANTI DEVI MITTAL INDOOR STADIUM. Diving pool & warming up pool are also there adjacent to Swimming Pool. LPU is also having the best trainers to train students rightly, and with full safety & security. The other facilities in the indoor stadium are- 6 Squash Courts, 1 Basketball Court, 6 Volleyball Courts, 6 Badminton Courts, 1 Shooting Range, Weightlifting Room, Chess Room, Yoga Room, and Aerobics room, Taekwondo arena, etc. Students can practice a variety of sports like Badminton, Basketball, Shooting, Boxing, or avail the GYM facility. LPU never lacks in sports opportunities or competitions, they even conduct many National and International Sports championships in which you'll witness the worlds the finest sportsperson is competing against each other. If you like sports then let me tell you that LPU is a very good place for you. It has almost all the sports facilities that you can think of. It has got American Football, it has archery, it has roller skating zones, softball, tennis, basketball, etc. Also, the Shanti Devi Mittal Indoor Stadium here has multifarious facilities under one roof which include 6 Squash Courts, 1 Basketball Court, 3 Volleyball Courts, 12 Badminton Courts, 1 Shooting Range (25 Lane), 3 Swimming Pools, 1 Fully equipped Gym, Weightlifting Room, Chess Room, Yoga Room, and Aerobics room, Taekwondo arena, etc.

Hi Sameeksha, I have had word with one of the alumni of LPU recently and he told me that LPU is always taking care of sportsperson and provide scholarships to them up to 100%. He told me a few things as mentioned below. There are many facilities for sports student like ground for each sports and coach for each sports. Sports student with national gold medal given a 100% scholarship. Apart from this, they are given token for refreshment which can be used for exchange of bananas and milk.
