What benefits will I gain, at a professional as well as at an academic level, if I choose PG Diploma in instructional design?

I am a B.Tech CSE graduate and have been working as an instructional designer in Wipro, Bangalore, from past 11 months. In these few months, I've gotten good grasp over analysis content in shorter duration, creating ILTs, using tools like captivate and epiplex.
