You can pursue B.Tech/BE with information technology or computer science and then you can become a software developer. Even I did information technology and then got placed in Dell as a software developer.

UEM Jaipur the best option in college at Jaipur for pursuing engineering in computer stream. I would suggest you for BCA and MCA as it is a degree course and many career options do need this. Visit the college to know about courses of both and distinguish it.

In my view, B.Tech CSE+M.Tech is a better option. B.Tech has more value and mainly it depends upon from which college you are pursuing it. Also, your skills as it focuses on both theoretical and practical fields.

If you are really into software engineering, there is no better option than CSE B.Tech + M.Tech. Just enter the field of engineering and enjoy a lot of competition and opportunity in the same place.

If you want to be an software engineer, then definitely, you should have to pursue a technical field which is only provided by B.Tech. So, according to me, you should have to pursue B.Tech in CSE for being a software engineer.

B.Tech, on the other hand, generally has less theory compared to a BE and more practical skills (hands on) from in class examples/assignments than a BE. This doesn't mean that a BE has no practical skills. They still have assignments and capstone projects in their 4th/5th year to demonstrate and apply all the theory they have acquired over the years of study. From what others say- BE can become a P. Eng (Professional Engineer) which means they have the responsibility of making sure everything is done correctly. Usually the lead engineer has a P Eng. You are held responsible if anythi

B.Tech+M.Tech CSE is much better than BCA+MCA, since engineer is eligible for application, but application is not eligible for engineering.

    Hi,
For software engineering, both are good courses to do, but I'll suggest you to go for B.Tech, as B.Tech has more value than BCA and you can do M.Tech.

Pursuing BCA is far better than doing B.Tech.
