    Dear aspirant, B.Tech is your regular engineering degree with 8 semesters and some predesignated credits and subjects for your specialization. This is the degree that most colleges and universities offer. But, some autonomous colleges and deemed universities offer a choice to take up some electives or extra courses apart from the regime ones. These courses can be about advanced subjects in your specialization, research, interdisciplinary studies, etc. You can take these as complementary courses during the same 8 semesters or also work on them during semester breaks or after the 4 years.     The courses could cover advanced topics in your field of study, research, interdisciplinary studies, and so on. Because you studied more than the usual syllabus, you will receive a B.Tech (honors) Diploma if you successfully complete them. This is the distinction. B.Tech (Hons. ). Programmes are available at only a few universities. As faculty of LPU, I can inform you that the university provides a B.Tech (Hons. ). In CSE. LPU offers the following B.Tech in CSE (Hons. ). Programmes.

    B.Tech hons is slightly different from B.Tech. Here some extra courses you need to study and you need to choose pathway for specialisation, that will help you in industrial prospect.

    Dear Aspirant, There is no major difference between B.Tech and B.Tech (Hons. ). The B.Tech (Hons. ). Programme mainly deals in the particularity aspect, which is unlike B.Tech, the candidates can choose a particular subject of their choice in the final year, to study each and every aspect of the subject in full depth.
