Hotel Management is a course designed to become a hospitality professional: This course is divided into four parts: 1) Front Office 2) Food Production 3) Housekeeping 4) Food and beverage service The students can choose according to their preference and work in leading luxury brands of hotels and resorts.

Hi, In general, we think hotel management as cooking food, providing facilities, and luxury rooms for guests. But it is wrong perception. Hotel management is a big industry which has multiple departments like administration, accommodation, food & drink services, and supervision. In simple wordsHotel management is a profession and business. Hotel management is a business for owners and a profession for students who are graduated in hotel management. The business owners should have broad knowledge in business management, human resource management and financial management to do business in hotel management. Students who want to start career in hotel management have to get hotel management or hospitality & tourism management degree. Hope it helps.

Management of a hotel operation includes, but is not limited management of hotel staff, business management, upkeep and sanitary standards of hotel facilities, guest satisfaction and customer service, marketing management, sales management, revenue management, financial accounting, purchasing, and other functions. The title "hotel manager" or "hotelier" often refers to the hotel'general Manager who serves as a hotel's head executive, though their duties and responsibilities vary depending on the hotel's size, purpose, and expectations from ownership. The hotel's General Manager is often supported by subordinate department managers that are responsible for individual departments and key functions of the hotel operation.

Managing a hotel comes with a range of responsibilities. You must be able to adapt to new challenges, help different departments and ensure the hotel maintains a standard of excellence. As a hotel manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and having a strong knowledge of finance, planning, service and organisation. While you have a team of managers working alongside you, as hotel manager you have to lead rather than follow. You must also make sure your staff are managing their time and departments efficiently, whether that be through improving their monthly profits or simply ensuring a guests expectations are exceeded. You must have strong attention to detail, leadership and teamwork skills. At some hotels, depending on the size and type, you may find yourself dealing with a lot more day-to-day tasks than you would at a more prestigious place. You may also have less contact with guests, but you'll spend time monitoring the business through regular meetings.
