What is proctored online exam paper introduced at LPU.

Dear Aspirant, LPU realizes that paradigm changes are happening around the world. Rapidly changing business landscape requires young leaders to not only understand developing economies but also develop a global perspective at the same time in order to be an integral part of the growth of the economy. After the authorization from competent government authorities LPU has started online proctored entrance/ eligibility tests keeping in mind the situation created in the country due to covid. The safety of the candidate is of utmost importance for LPU. Hence such online proctored tests are being conducted this time. The tests need a desktop/ laptop with the facilities of web cam, audio and video. The artificial Intelligence keeps a check on the student's performing the test. If any discrepancy is monitored in such tests like unnecessary movement of eye balls, the test is cancelled with immediate effect. Since there is a nationwide lockdown, the movement restrictions lead to this great innovation. The remotely proctored exam is basically LPU NEST which the students appear in, sitting at home. There is use of highly sophisticated AI tools to monitor the movement of face, eyeballs etc. Which ensures that exam is given by fair means. Being a timed exam. It further eliminates the chances of unfair means. So, for benefit of students who apply for LPU NEST either for scholarship or for Eligibility, LPU's prowess in technology has came in handy. Because of lock down it is not possible for the students to go any test center for LPU NEST on-line test. Therefore, LPU has started proctored online exam so that student can give this exam from their home itself.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, as per the notifications of central and state governments, it is safe to stay at home. Therefore, to facilitate our prospective students, LPU offers to appear in the LPUNEST using remotely proctored online exam by staying at home.

Hi, If student opts remotely proctored exam from home for LPU NEST Entrance exam while taking admission, then he will enter the time and date of exam in interface. Candidate will get email regarding guidelines, date and time of exam. The remotely proctored exam will be monitored live through various Artificial Intelligence tools and by the invigilators. Any suspected activity may lead to the cancellation of exam. Candidate must ensure following for appearing in exam from home: A working laptop/ desktop with proper webcam and microphones. Proper internet connection An isolated room with proper lighting without any external disturbances. In case, the candidate wants to appear on mobile phone, following are the requirements: Smartphone with working front camera and microphone. 3G/ 4G internet connection. An isolated room with proper lighting without any external disturbances. In exam information step, candidate has to select the combination of subjects from given pool of subjects. For example, B.Tech. Aspirant will select one of the options from Maths or Biology apart from the compulsory subjects Physics English and Chemistry.
