The admission process for NIT Trichy depends on the programme you are interested in. For undergraduate programmes, such as B.Tech and B.Arch, you need to appear for JEE Main and JEE Advanced and qualify the cutoffs. You also need to register online on the NIT Trichy website and participate in the counselling conducted by JoSAA. For postgraduate programmes, such as M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, and Ph.D, you need to have a valid score in GATE, CCMN, CAT, or NET respectively. You also need to apply online on the NIT Trichy website and appear for a written test and/or an interview conducted by the institute. You can check the details of each program

NIT Trichy admission process is entirely entrance-based. Candidates are required to qualify for national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, IIT JAM, CAT, etc., for the respective courses. Apart from that, candidates must also have to appear for the additional selection rounds such as Personal Interview (PI) round for MBA. Candidates who obtain a valid score as per the course's requirements in the respective entrance exam will have to register and appear for the counselling process conducted by specific counselling bodies.
