  • Dear Nani, the average salary offered to B.Tech(ME) is 4-5 LPA. LPU has good placements. It provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible students to secure good placement. Big companies come for recruitment purpose.

    It depends upon the organization where you works. In government organization like in Railway, the initial pay scale of group A officers (Level-10) i.e ADME is 15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay of 5400. They will draw salary about Rs 50000 after the standard deductions. If you are in private sectors it varies according to the experience and this could be between Rs 10,000-20,000.

    B. Tech mechanical engineering in LPU creates skilled professionals who can be recruited much before they graduate. LPU has a placement record of students in well-known organizations with top packages from leading tech companies. Students of mechanical engineering are placed in Honda, VOLTAS, XL Dynamics, Anglo Eastern Ship Management, hero MotoCorp, Hyundai Constructions, and many more.
    Honda selected students at package of 7.9 LPA, Vlotas package as high as 11.2 LPA.
    So average package we can say is 5 LPA for B.Tech mechanical engineering.

    It depends. In the present India's economic environment the earnings of mechanical engineers depend largely on the following verticals.
    1.Qualification:-
    1) B-Tech- 25-30k for freshers and 50k after 4+ years experience.
    2) M-Tech- 50-60k for freshers and 80k after 4+ experience.
    2. College:(for B-Tech freshers, private companies):-
    1) 45-60k for Class-A college.
    2) 25-30k for Class-B college.
    3) 12-22k for Class-C college.
    3. Nature of Administration:-
    1) Private Organization- Same pattern as qualification.
    2) Government: (for B-Tech freshers, excl. training, excl. annual allowance, as per 6th pay)

    For freshers it will be from 20k to 26k and for experienced it will be from 25k to 35k.

    On inquiring from the current students of LPU, I came to know that B. Tech Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that involves production, designing, and operations of machines and the main objective of LPU is to prepare students for applying the principles of mechanical engineering for designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
    The students highlighted the following:
