B.TECH degree is awarded by autonomous institutes.
autonomous means this institutes can set their own pattern of exam papers. and this institutes check answer sheets on their own.
B.E. degree is awarded by institutes which work under university rules and regulation.
university sets the pattern of exam.
even answer sheets are sent to university from college for checking.
after completion of your engineering course with any of this degrees(B.TECH & B.E) you can write engineer or Er. infront of your name.

BE or B Eng is a Bachelor degree for Engineering (Engineer)
B Tech is for Bachelor of Technology (Technician)
B Eng which generally means more theory than a BTech degree. BTech on the other hand generally has less theory compared to a BEng and more practical skills (hands on) from in class examples/assignments than a BEng. This doesn't mean that a B Eng has no practical skills, they still have assignments and usually have capstone projects in their 4th/5th year to demonstrate and apply all the theory they have acquired over the years of study.
    B.E is knowledge oriented
    B.Tech is skill oriented.

There is no major difference between the two. Yes you can write Engineer before your name after doing any of these degrees. Bachelor of engineering was first introduced then came Bachelor of Technology. There are slight changes in syllabus of both but that doesn't bother anyone in terms of knowledge. For companies these both are equally considerable when it comes to hire a candidate. Therefore be not in any doubt of that they are different.
    Hope it helps.

Difference between B.Tech and BEB.Tech is Skill oriented and BE knowledge oriented.
But both of them are similar having equal scope and future in terms of course curriculum, standards and job prospects. Your performance and to a lesser extent your college is what matters.

The difference is also in the title and abbreviation. BE is offered in some states like Tamil Nadu by universities such as Anna University through schools of engineering and their affiliated colleges. BE and B.Tech are equivalent.

Technically, there is no difference between BE and B.Tech.
It only depends on universities not the college. I have observed that those universities only providing engineering degree give B.Tech degree and the university who provide other degrees too provide BE degree. But technically you will not observe any difference between BE and B.Tech as they both are same.

While there is not much difference between a B.Tech in Engineering and a BE in Engineering, ensuring the university you complete the qualification from is accredited. Keep the faculty of the university and their relevant qualifications in mind before committing to a programme. ITM University-Raipur is the best university for B.Tech in Engineering.

    Hello Ashish,
Universities those offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institute constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology). BE is Bachelor of Engineering whereas B.Tech is Bachelor of Technology.
    Good luck.

Technology and engineering. Just the terms are different. You would study same subjects. You would be an engineer if you would complete b. Tech.
