    Dear Puneet,
These programs are primarily differentiated on their duration.
B.Design is a 4 year program whereas B.Sc Design is a 3 year program, it depends on the student whether they have to pursue B.Design or B.Sc, in B.Design, the 4th year is mainly concentrating on the course work.
You can avail admission online if you are complying the eligibility criteria i.e. 60%in 10+2 along with English, so fulfillment of this condition helps you in acquiring seat in design stream in LPU.
In this case, LPUNEST acts as a scholarship parameter which helps in reduction of program fee.
To avail the highest slabs of scholarships, you must finish up yo

  • Puneet,
The difference is B.Design is a 4 years professional degree, whereas, B.Sc (Design-Interior and Furniture) is a 3-year regular degree like any other B.Sc degree.
If you have got 60% or more in class 12th, you can get admission without LPU NEST, otherwise, you have to appear for it. Check the links below for program details:

Hi Punit basically the difference between these two programs are of course duration BSc interior and furniture design takes 3 years (6 semesters) whereas bachelor of design or B.design takes 4 years(8 semesters).
    # While offering B.Sc. (Interior and furniture Design), the intent of LPU is to meet the expectations of the industry creating a symbiosis between technical, creative and artists.
    # With best of my knowledge in B-Design their focus is just on providing professional degree offering skills in practical interior design and execution and full-scale furniture design and fabrication through rigorous studio work and hands-on workshops.

For admission at LPU for the design program, you have to either clear UCEED exam or the LPUNEST. The major difference between both courses is that in B.Sc interior, the intent is to meet the expectations of the industry creating a symbiosis between technical, creative and artists whereas in B.Design, focus is on providing professional degree offering skills in practical interior design and execution and full-scale furniture design and fabrication through rigorous studio work and hands-on workshops.
Moreover, B.Sc is of 3 years and B.Design is of 4 years.
