What is the difference between ECE and electronics and instrumentation branch?
Asked about BITS Pilani K K Birla, Goa Campus - B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
I just scored 313 in BITSAT exam. Firstly will I get this branch or not? I don't know what this branch is. Please make me understand the difference b/w ECE, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and instrumentation engineering. How is BITS Goa and Hyderabad for this branch?

For the understanding of the difference, between the two branches, both have origin in Electrical Engineering. In ECE branch you will be learning network theory, basic electronics, digital systems microprocessor, signal processing, analogue communication, digital communication, wireless communication.
In EIE branch you will be learning all electronics subject common with ECE branch and the core subjects like industrial instrumentation, industrial automation control systems, process control.
