What is the difficulty level of LPUNEST? Can anyone suggest how to prepare for it?

Hi Prasanta, don't take undue stress of LPU NEST. Chill. LPU NEST is an entrance test conducted by LPU for admission in various programmes. It aims to check how far the concepts from the previous qualification are clear. It's tough but those who have studied honestly will be able to make it. Don't you worry, the syllabus of LPU NEST is all that you have studied in your previous qualification. In addition to it, there are questions of reasoning, verbal ability, analytical ability are also there. LPU NEST is a proctored exam and questions are asked in the form of MCQs. The result is displayed on the dash board of the student after 24 hrs. One gets two chances of attempting LPU NEST. The best of the two results will be applicable for scholarship. One has to register oneself with the university and pay online for taking LPU NEST. Application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader (OMR). The LPU NEST is conducted to check the conceptual clarity of the student and in MCQ form without any Negative marking. Student has ample time to answers all the questions and even given option to choose the subject to give the test as per his or her liking. Syllabus, Sample questions and Pattern of the test is available on university website. Go to the website and select the desire programme and a new web page will open up and on the very top of that page information as drop down menu will be available select that drop down menu. This menu will be composed of Syllabus, Pattern and sample questions for the test preparation. Hope this helps. All the best!

The level of Entrance examination of LPU i.e LPU NEST (National Level Test for Eligibility and Scholarship). It depends upon the programme in which you are seeking admission. Generally, the LPU NEST for the Engineering, MBA and Agriculture are the most technical one. The average level of the test is moderate. The difficulty level of any programme depends upon your preparation. If you have prepared well you can even crack IAS exam. Now coming to LPU NEST you should be well prepared for this exam and thorough knowledge about your subjects. Nothing to worry as LPU is providing all the support from its end. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility for some of the programmes and scholarship for most of the programmes. This test is MCQ based with no negative marking and the level of difficulty depends on ones preparation. If the preparation is good for the test it will be easy to clear and get the scholarship, otherwise, difficult. The exam is generally held in two parts, first one is the online exam based on the course you are taking admission in, and the second part is the interview, aggregate marks of both then decides your criteria of getting scholarship. If you are not satisfied with your scores, you get a chance to reappear for the exam and improve your scores. However, the exam to be honest is neither too tough nor too easy, you need minimum preparation, to get good scores and hence the scholarship amount.

LPU NEST exam for engineering students is very easy. I have given this exam and I can say if you have give JEE Mains exam also, so in this exam you can get double the marks you got in JEE Mains. Yes, I too got almost double marks. Why? Because this exam has no negative marking and the level of exam is of board exam. If you are average student you can easily get 200 marks in this exam. If you are intelligent student, you can easily get 300+. This paper consists of total 90 questions carrying 4 marks each. Every section contains 30 marks (PCM) or (PCB) and total of 360 marks. The difficulty level of LPU NEST depends on the preparation and clarity about the topics that you have studied in your last qualification. Around 40% marks are required in LPU NEST in order to qualify it for Eligibility purpose whereas for Scholarship purpose, the cut-off are required to be qualified based on which Scholarship is applicable. LPU NEST is conducted by LPU for different programmes for Eligibility and Scholarship purpose as well. The purpose of LPU NEST is different for different programmes. For some programmes, it is for Eligibility and Scholarship purpose and for some programmes it is just for Scholarship purpose only.
