    The eligibility criteria for applying to the IISER 2024 entrance exam are as follows:

    Nationality:

    • Indian Nationals
    • Persons with Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card (can apply through KVPY or IAT channel only)
    • Foreign Nationals (can apply through JEE (Advanced) channel only)

    Educational Qualification:

    • Passed Class XII (or equivalent) exam in Science stream in 2022, 2023 or 2024 from a recognised board.
    • Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics during Class XII.

    Minimum Marks:

    • Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in Class XII exam for general category
    • SC/ST/PwD Candidates: Minimum of 55

    Candidates for admission to the five-year BS-MS dual degree programme provided by Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) must pass an entrance exam. The candidate can be admitted to IISER at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, or Tirupati based on the results of the IISER entrance exam, which is also known as the IISER aptitude test. Those who completed their science-focused Class 12 coursework are qualified to apply for the 2024 IISER admission exam.     The overall eligibility criteria that a candidate need to satisfy before applying for IISER 2025 entrance exam application form is mentioned below:

    1. Applicants must be Indian nationals or PIO or OCI in order to apply through KVPY or JEE Advanced or IAT channels. Candidates who are NOT Indian nationals or PIO or OCI can apply for admission only through the JEE Advanced channel.
