In some cases, candidates who don't hold any such postgraduate qualification must ensure that thye qualify for a university-conducted entrance examination followed by an interview.     1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Law (LLM) or an equivalent degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.

    2. Entrance Exam: Candidates are required to qualify for the NIU entrance examination for Ph.D. admissions.

    3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the entrance test are usually called for a personal interview or viva to assess their research aptitude and subject knowledge.
