Shweta, for MBA in HR, first of all you can be from IT, engineering, commerce background. Background in bachelors levels does not matter. But in some colleges diploma is not considered. Depending upon colleges, the educational qualification differs.

If you mean MBA in HR, then please remember in order to pursue full time MBA or PGDM program you need to be graduate in any field with atleast 50% marks in graduation, plus you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc.
The selection process in B-schools generally consists of :
- Past Academic record.
- Scores in entrance tests.
- Group Discussion.
- Personal Interview.
- Work experience.
Please note that each B-schools shortlists candidates for second stage of selection which may be independent of each other.
