NET is an entrance exam to determine eligibility for college and university level lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals. It AIMS to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research. The exam fee would be Rs 1,000 for General category, Rs 500 for SC category and Rs 250 for SC/ ST/ PwD. You can get a salary of around Rs. 45,000 per month.
