The fee structure for Master of Laws (LLM) courses at the Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is as follows
LLM (General): This one-year programme costs INR 60,000 and provides students with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles such as Law of Contracts, Constitutional Laws, etc.
LLM (Environmental Law): BHU offers a specialised two-year programme focusing on Environmental Law, with a total fee of INR 1,20,000. This programme delves into the intricate interplay between law and environmental issues, exploring regulatory frameworks and sustainable practices. The First year of this course is same as the LLM (General). While in the later semesters you have specified subjects related to the Environmental Law.
LLM (Human Rights and Duties Education): BHU's two-year programme in Human Rights and Duties Education charges a total fee of INR 60,000. It emphasizes critical aspects of human rights, obligations, and the legal mechanisms governing them.
In addition, BHU provides a "paid seat system" allowing students to secure admission by paying an additional fee. The cost for this system ranges from INR 10,000 to 30,000 per year, depending on the specific course. This option enables students to secure a seat by paying an additional amount on top of the standard course fee, providing an alternative for admission. Semester I: Constitutional Law-I, Law Of Contract -I (General Principles Of Formation Of Contract), Law Of Torts Including Mv Accident And Consumer Protection Laws, Law Of Crimes-i (Indian Penal Code), Public International Law, English Language (Compulsory Language Paper), Professional Ethics, & Professional Accounting System.
Semester II: Constitutional Law-II, Special Contract, Law of Crime II (Criminal Procedure Code), Civil Procedure Code And Limitation Act, Law of Evidence, Drafting, Pleading And Conveyancing.
Semester III: Jurisprudence, Family Law-i (Hindu Law), Property Law, Administrative Law, Environmental Law, Moot Court.
Semester IV: Family Law-ii (Muslim Law), Company Law, Labour And Industrial Laws-I, Alternate Dispute Resolution.
Semesters V & VI (Group A): Health Law, Penology And Victimology, Equity And Trust.
Semesters V & VI (Group B): Insurance Law, Competition Law, Forensic Science.
