There is no age limit as such, to pursue engineering you need to submit GAP certificate only. In my information there is no such age limit is there in B.Tech lateral entry, the student needs to submit the related document to justify his gap. A candidate must provide a gap affidavit (if necessary), fully attested by a notary, along with a character reference from their previous employer.
Other than that let me explain the lateral entry a bit:
For eligibility, you need 60% marks in 12th and need to appear in the entrance test of the university after clearing that you can take admission.
