What is the meaning of '4-years after 10+2' as the eligibility of GATE? Can there be gaps after 12th and before B.Tech?

    Yes, you can have a gap of almost 2 years before doing B.Tech. GATE examination is designed for engineering students.

    There can be a gap before but a maximum of 2 years since all College have age limit. And after B.Tech, you can again drop a year. There is no restriction in drop year for getting appeared in GATE exam. You can give the GATE exam. There is given 3 times chance for qualifying the GATE exam after qualifying, you can give exam as much you can.
