What is the minimum cost of pursuing a CPL pilot training course in India?

Once you have decided to do CPL in your mind , as a career you much be prepared that you have to spend around minimum of RS 25-30 Lakhs , from where ever you do training from , either India or outside India , The different stages of CPL are: Student pilot license Private pilot license Instrument Rating Commercial pilot license Later, you also have to do Multi engine endorsement, as airline now days wants that sitting for a DGCA examination is equal to sit for any competitive exams. So, I would suggest to take ground classes to crack those tests, ground classes for subjects like meteorology, air navigation, RTR, regulations, specific, technical general, radio aids, etc. will cost you somewhere around 75 - 1 lakhs depending from which academy you want to do it. Apart from that, keeping your medical class 1 current you have to spend another Rs. 1500- 2000 every year. Once you have done all this and have your DGCA approved CPL with you, one can apply for airline interview. Nowadays, sitting for the airline interview, is also a lot of expenditure. Airline charges you a minimum of 20,000 to 40,000 depending upon them and the level of rounds you have reached. Take 50 k aside for these examination. Now, it you want to do type rating from on a particular fleet, you have to spend another 13-14 lakhs for the same. They have different contract depending upon their terms and conditions. So, in all, you have to keep around 60 lakhs ready if you want to become a pilot with any airline, that's the minimum breakup. All the best.
