  • To be eligible for a B.Tech at SRM Valliammai Engineering College, you must have passed 12th grade with at least 45% marks. The college also requires a minimum of 50% marks in a recognised Bachelor's Degree (B.E. / B.Tech.) or equivalent Engineering degree.
The college's selection criteria is based on TNEA scores. The 2023 TANCET cutoff for the general category is 82 marks.

The minimal score needed in 2023 to be eligible for a B.Tech at SRM Valliammai Engineering College. However, students must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with mathematics, chemistry, and physics as required courses and a minimum of 60% overall (55% for SC/ST candidates) in order to be eligible for admission to the B.Tech program.

    2. In order to be eligible for admission, students also need to have passed the class 12 test with a combined total of 45% in mathematics, physics, and chemistry from an accredited board.

The minimum marks required for B.Tech at SRM Valliammai Engineering College for the academic year 2023-24 are:

    1. For General and OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate marks required in 10+2 or equivalent examination is 60%.

    2. For SC and ST candidates, the minimum aggregate marks required in 10+2 or equivalent examination is 55%.

However, meeting the minimum marks requirement is not sufficient for admission. Candidates also need to qualify in any one of the following entrance exams: SRMJEEE, JEE Main, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA), or BITSAT (for BITS-SRM Dual Degree Program).
