To pass the Manipur HSLC exam, a student must score at least 30% in each subject. This includes both theory and practical exams where applicable. In subjects that include practical components, students must pass both the theory and practical sections individually. If a student fails in one or two subjects, they can appear for the compartmental exams. Failing in more than two subjects would require the student to retake the exam next year.
