    In mechanical engineering placement is not well as compared to past 3-4 year.

    mechanical is a core branch and believe me there is good scope.

    You can expect average placement of 4-5lakhs utmost. Placement depends on you if you have practical and theoretical knowledge industry will take else college can't help you and if you expecting core company then I am sorry buddy that is not the case of mechanical engineering in Sir MVIT.
    From 1st year try to be part of different technical club and gather as much knowledge you can.

    The placements are always average after 2015. Now the jobs are less for B.Tech mechanical graduate. Initial package will start from 2 LPA.
