Dear Venkatesh, The placement record for B.Sc. (Hons. ). In Agriculture in LPU is really very good. LPU students got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of the School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Sanra organics, and many more. LPU is a first private University having ICAR accreditation. ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) co-ordinates agricultural education and research in the country under the aegis of Ministry of Agriculture (government. Of India). LPU School of Agriculture has been granted accreditation by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, making it the first and only private University in the country to receive the accreditation. It believes in building expertise through well planned on-field implementation and testing of basic concepts in production, yield enhancement disease resistant and better shelf life of food and flora. Creating professionals to tackle the dogma from SEED to stomach. Agriculture Students are exposed to live Commercial farms (350 acres) to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. Students are also involved in Practical crop production, Rural and Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE), Nursery raising for horticulture crops, Crop And SEED Identification, Soil And Water Sampling And Analysis, Soil Description And Interpretation, Organic And Chemical Fertilizer etc. Projects other than regular course work. Agriculture deals with well planned on-field implementation and testing of basic concepts in production, yield enhancement disease resistant and better shelf life of food and flora. Student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country or option to join partner/ receiving university abroad for a semester as decided by the University subject to conditions. The programme outcomes include Knowledge Enhancement, Professional Enhancement, Entrepreneurship Skills, Communication & Extension Skills, Team Work, Educational Leadership, Data Handling, Ethics and Computational Skills. Placement: 5.6 LPA (Rallis India) was the highest salary package last year. Huge number of Campus placement drives with reputed brands used to be held every year for this course.
