What is the placement record for B.Sc. (Hons. ). In Agriculture in LPU?

LPU is well known for its B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture course. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. This and provide full support to the students. The best thing is the university does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Lovely professional university is the first private university to get accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). LPU provides the quality education by the well qualified teachers. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. University provides additional professional enhancement classes as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. Hi Venkatesh, Agriculture is a primary source of livelihood for the majority of Indians. Thus, generally it remains the last priority among students choosing a career option. Which is a very wrong assumption. Agricultural graduates have wide scope of career in public sector and private sector. In fact entrepreneurship is a great opportunity to pursue your prospective career in agricultural field. It is just a myth that Agriculture does not offer job opportunities. There are two major points to be noted here, One is that Placement depends on the students equally as on the university, as student has to maintain a good academic record and should add few stars to his/her CV to land up on better placement. Secondly, University should not just focus on connecting student with the company, but should polish the student in such way that he/she is able to crack any interview easily. Completing Bachelor of Agriculture in LPU is good for better career prospects in the field of agriculture. B.Sc. A degree in agriculture offers many opportunities for growth. Those who want to specialize can choose a master's programme. B.Sc. Bachelor's Degree. Agriculture consists of a number of core subjects such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Agronomy, Plant Science, Plant Genetics, Plant Pathology, Surveying, Entomology, Horticulture, Physiology, Food Science, Water Resources Management and Animal Product Management. Several subjects are studied, such as economics, meteorology, technology, business and production management, which are closely related to this subject. Fees: B.Sc. Programme fee is 120,000 per semester but scholarship is based on entrance exam ie LPU NEST national level exams, financial aid as need basis, defense basis and many more. If you still think the fees are too high, there are student loans and you can work part-time on the side to pay back and help your parents. As LPU alumni, I can't tell exact fact and figures about the placements, but I had a cousin who di this course from lpu and based on his experience, I can give a small review about agriculture course at LPU. Placement Insight Due to ICAR accreditation large numbers of companies are visiting the campus. More than 44, 46 and 43 renowned firms and industries are on board for on campus and off campus drive in very year. Around 90% of the students getting placed every year. Among the drive conducted the major associates were with Syngenta pvt. Lmt. , Tata Rallis India, Bioseed, Emami, GSR, IFFCO, Dhanuka, ITC, Relience Agr. Retail, Uniborn, HDFC Bank, Intellow lab, WIPRO, ESCORTS Tractor with maximum package offer of 5.68 Lacs. Every year &get;50 students joining in Syngenta RISQ project for research with good stipend. Students are getting an opportunity to go on programme exchange in foreign universities every year.
