Being an alumni of LPU I would rather say that the school of Agriculture in Lovely Professional University is among the best place for pursuing the B.Sc. In agriculture. Now you would be saying why I am saying like that, actually my cousin has completed his degree from here only. The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR. I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. In order to infuse understanding on emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture field visits are conducted to neighboring farms, orchards and nurseries. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills. Major Highlights of the programme that I would be highlighting over here are as follows:
a)The course would impart knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts and techniques of maintaining and enhancing soil fertility, crop production, crop management, crop improvement, biodiversity and sustainability of agriculture worldwide. B)The course would develop the ability to know farming practices and their scope to improve in the rural areas and the environments. C)It would help in applying the knowledge of basic Science through Agricultural microbiology, Plant biochemistry and Biotechnology. D)It will focus on application of knowledge of Agri-business management and finance to develop profitable agricultural system. E)19.25 LPA PLACEMENT OFFERED IN PANDEMIC BY DE SHAW
LPU students have got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. Student of Lovely Professional University, Kavita Faman, a final year student of M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy), has bagged a package of Rs 1 crore. The package has been offered by Monsanto, global leaders in agrochemicals and now part of the crop sciences division of the Bayer G are lot of government job available for agricultural graduates in different sectors like FCI, KVK, CCI, ATMA IFFCO, NABARD RBI etc. The following are the key job opportunities in B.Sc.
