What is the process of admissions through JEE Main score? And also the percentile cutoff for CSE for Thapar institute for 2020?

Hi, Like most of the engineering colleges, there are two criteria for getting admission in Thapar Institute, Patiala. One is on the basis of your JEE score and the other one is on the basis of your 12th class percentage (PCM or PCB). The division of seats for the above two is 70% and 30% respectively. BE/B.Tech admission at TIET : Admission to BE/B.Tech programs shall be conducted through two modes. Applicants are required to fill single application form and on the basis of single application form, they can seek admission through any of the mode, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria. The admission through JEE Main mode is described below. I. Mode - 1: (Based on JEE Main 2020 score) for 70% of seats 70% of the total BE/B.Tech seats shall be filled on the basis of percentile based merit of JEE Main 2020 examination. Eligibility: 1. The candidate has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject or Minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) marks in a Diploma recognised by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration. 2. Has appeared in JEE (Main)-2020. 3. Has passed 10+2 examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020. The admission shall be made on the percentile based merit of JEE Main 2020 in this mode. Further as per the last year of trends for CSE, You need to score above 96 percentile for getting admission here. While for Derabassi campus the JEE Main percentile above 86 can be good enough for getting admission hers.
